Universalis Continus

Monday, September 15, 2008

School is intense. The brightest minds of a generation converge on intitutions of higher learning to become master of art and science. The university was designed by some crazy sci-fi loving motherfucker and when I said 'brightest minds' what I meant was 'pop collared douchebags'. The combined result makes for a sureal dream like experience. I feel just like Encino Man.

Thawed out after a million years and sent off to learn how to "fit in" I had my first quiz today in English class. It was one multiple choice question and I failed, after attending every class and doing the required reading. It turns out my Proffessor is a fucking tricky son of a bitch and I gotta keep a closer eye on him. University deals in absolutes and I do not. So it is hard to take my instructors seriously when they say that love is a human emotion and not experienced by animals.Who would say something so retarded? The good Dr. was wrong on every count of his assertions. I have come to the conclusion that I am now in some kind of time space warp outside the normal flow of our Universe. A dim twighlight zone where the ordinary laws of rational thought and order somehow produce great achievements in our society. Just like some evil Maya cult of death worship; its best not to argue with the leadership. Success isnt about being right, its about being on the right side.

Look at this place! Its like some kind of fucking spaceship! I feel awe inspired and afraid of alien probes all at the same time.

I really feel that we all need new experiences to grow and enjoy. Complacency with mere 45% alchohol seems safe and standardized. So when i was offered the opportunity to try some homebrew I jumped at the chance. Hill-billies may be stereotyped as inbred and stupid but I dont see any amateur chemists in my neighborhood. Making hootch is complicated and requires equal amounts disdain for civil law and a strong working knowledge of explosive liquids. Ya but its not something im gonna get regular aquaintance, on account of the kick.

The picture links to the relative Fox News Article.

So I got into a bit of a discussion with a gal from Texas. It seems to me our American compats are completly brainwashed and left ignorant from obvious facts. I remember once when the Americans so hated their government, they made a concession in the legislation to carry weapons. Now days its the Fuhrer knows best no questions asked. I hope Kucinich gets his impeachment for war crimes. If Canada is Free Gaul to our Romerican Imperialsts then I dread what the future holds.

Canada Day

Tuesday, July 01, 2008

I did my civic duty and went to the big park in my town. I sampled a variety of sweet ethnic cuisine served with a bandshell of bellydancers. It might have been the hottest day of the year. My town is small and I think most everyone was at the Park. Its cool and fun and Ill do it again.

Maya DoomsDay 2012

Monday, June 30, 2008

The Maya are one of the most provocotive cultures from ancient Mesoamerica. They captured the imagination with their sophiticated architecture, mathematics and also with some less savory stygian rituals of human sacrifice and prophecy. All Empires and religions have a Doomsday but the Maya circled it on their calendar.

Buy our shit.

**** Thing SUCKS!

Introducing the Antec Nine Hundred hardcore gaming case. Now you can own all the competition with this ultra-mean case in classic black finish. We know your gaming hardware produces a lot of heat, and that's why the case is built for maximum cool with a perforated front bezel, three 120mm fans with mounts for even more fans, and a monster top-mounted 200mm fan—that's right, we said 200mm! Nothing but computer problems for at least a month. Ups and downs and crashes. Ive been outside enjoying what little summer I been getting what with DOomsDay right around the corner and all. But when night falls I like to curl up to a hot cpu and hurdle the dead. I love and hate my computer in equal amount.

PMOG

Friday, May 16, 2008

PMOG (Passively Multiplayer Online Game) is a firefox browser add-on ( toolbar/ HUD) invented by the grandfather of blogging a certain Justin Hall. You basicly surf the net as usual but sometimes cool stuff happens. Like say you are me and you like video games. So lets say you are visiting a gaming site and a little box pops up with a portal to some more recomended and quite likely superior sites you had not previously seen. You take the Tour add some bookmarks and your PMOG level goes up. Its pretty cool, along the way you can plant booby traps and deploy Lightposts and create missions make allies and so on. Best part is you pretty much dont hafta do anything but surf the net as usual. The passive stands for Lazy.

Open Letter to Girl Guides.

To whom it may concern.

My wife and I are both former members of the BoyScouts/Girl Guides organizations and when our daughter reached the appropriate age we enrolled her within our local troop, expecting her experiences to reflect our own fond memories. Unfortunately there have been several incidents which have given me cause for concern. April 1st 2008 my daughter sustained a minor injury while under the supervision of the Girl Guides. We received a phone call informing us that Phoenix had been hurt and that she wanted to come home. Upon arrival at the units hall we determined that the injury was severe enough to warrant a trip to the hospitals emergency ward. The doctors performed a proceedure to drain the excess blood and swelling and Phoenix later lost her thumbnail. I am a reasonable individual and understand that accidents happen and children can hurt themselves if not properly supervised. I am not upset by the incident but rather the reactions of the leadership. Phoenix was never given first aid treatment and not so much as an icepack. The incident has never been fully explained and to this day I am not sure how she was hurt as the leaders clearly did not observe the accident.
This episode was enough to cast doubts upon the quality of the training and responsiblities of the Guiders. Sadly this incident has been compounded by a violation of the spirit of the tenents set out by the national organization. We were informed that Phoenix would be participating in a graduation ceremony called 'Walking over the Rainbow'. Phoenix was very excited and looked forward to the event by counting sleeps and inviting her grandparents. Not a day went by that she did not mention this momentus occassion. At last the big day had arrived and accompanied by her mother and grandmother Phoenix attended the meeting. Whereupon the Units Guider, Christy Carrelli utterly crushed my childs spirit by forbiding her from participating due to her Birthday falling on New Years and thereby making her 6months too young to 'walk across the rainbow'. This was a contradiction of Christy's previous assertions from the week prior. Any parent knows that breaking promises has a very upsetting effect on the self esteem of children and predictably Phoenix was very disapointed by Christy Carrellis apparent lack of values. My wife Aimee was informed by Christy that they were aware of this misunderstanding shortly after informing Phoenix of her ceremoney. An entire week had lapsed but not without communications between Christy and Aimee via emails of a media event but no attempt was made to inform our familly of this impending emotional disaster. It is for these reasons that we will no longer continue supporting the Girl Guides nor participating in any fundraising events or activities. Our entire familly including the attending grandparent are all very upset with the mismanagement of the organization and the cold and unfair treatment of our daughter. Christy Carrelli certainly deserves a review of her leadership skills and should feel deeply ashamed of her behavior. Although life is full of bitter disapointment and tragedy one should not be learning these lessons within the Girl Guides.

Saturday Night Live Doesnt Suck Anymore

Monday, April 14, 2008

Thats just a heads up. There is some quality shit on there right now. The new cast is brilliant and with some veteran comedians filling in the gaps it runs smooth. I got my favorite actors, the train molester from euro trip, Fred Armisen and that chick from Upright Citizens Brigade, Amy Poehler. Not to mention the holy trinity that is Andy Samberg. Worth checking out if you already brushed your three cats and cleaned the litter box.

Magnum Opus

BattleStar Galactica returns to the airwaves in its fourth and final installment. As a futurist and a man of vision, I appreciate good science fiction for the prophetic vista it affords us. BattleStar presents the classic biblical myth of Exodus in grand dystopian style. An epic legend retold with action packed space sequences lots of explosions and a cast of characters populated by some of the worst actors the likes of which I haven't seen since my last school play. Between the contrived and topical plot threads and force fed morality, I would have stopped watching altogether but if not for the jewels in the rough. There are some few talented thespians that can overcome the material and dominate the supporting cast. They accomplish the impossible by persuading the audience to set aside disbelief and enjoy some of the finest cyborg T&A Canada can produce. If you were to call this program a stupid waste of time; I would not attempt to dissuade you. Science Fiction is an acquired taste and even those less than perfect programs get more than a fair shake. I think I speak for everyone when I say 'at least its not Star-Trek' and 'May I be the first to welcome our Cylon Overlords'

Friends

Where have all the good blogs gone? Thank the Gods Lazy Iguana is still smithing his words and props to Darth Foreskin for his relentless postings which I find ever so entertaining. These blogs are giants among political midgets. They ask the hard questions and I salute them as defenders of truth and liberty.

After centuries of thought crime and extreme oppression the Pendulum has swung in favor of the individuals rights over that of church and state. The blogosphere is a fat slut of a libertine and burns the heretical puritans at the stake with the searing flames of social commentary. Shrouded in the executioners hood of anonymity, blogs set torch to status quo. If there were more people willing to go witch-hunting the world would be a warmer place.

Ink and quill is a wholesome pastime, fun for the nuclear family. The awesome levels of sitting here at my keyboard really gets my heart pumping, red-lines my tachometer(either that or the dozen or so cups of coffee I drink before sitting down at my desk nerve itchy and restless) I may spend some time hitting the random blog button in the hopes of discovering a Lucidus Luminosis. A pretend Latin phrase I invented to describe my alumni. I have deleted too many friends and must restore my coin purse of companionship to seam bursting quantity.

Aprils Fools

Thursday, April 03, 2008

How I adore Fools day. Once a year we celebrate the illusion of truth. The tenuous fabric of reality does not necessarily benefit from malign tampering but I believe the intended purpose to be one of absolution from mischievous deeds. A carte blanche of iniquity for those that would mete out hilarious justice. Nowhere is this holiday celebrated more than in the venerated halls of media, those cloistered temples of mystery, wherein surgically altered buxom blonde hierophant's adorned in uniformed pant suits, seduce and subvert the will of the people. A day in which those who wrestle to control absolute power may revel in bogus claims and outrageous lies without fear of reprisal.
