You can always cheap out and just get that garage floor paint that dries into a plastic like substance. Not only will it not swell up if your basement floods, but it is gas and oil resistant as well.
This is concrete enamel, if thats what you are reffering to. But like I said I just want my basement back before I go laying tile or Tatami matts or whatever.
