Nintendo DS Lite

Wednesday, February 15, 2006

Nintendo made the announcement that their newly redesigned handheld console, the Nintendo DS Lite, will use its Wi-Fi connection to allow internet surfage and Television viewing. I can no longer pretend I am not interested in this unit. I will be buying one as soon as they become available in North America. Release is expected sometime early in March with a retail price of ¥16,800 or roughly $164 Canadian; making it the most affordable PDA on the market. Although when I say PDA I mean shameless gaming system with an EXTREME MAKEOVER, to fool the elite iPOD crowd.

I already have the Sony PSP and a new Palm Lifedrive.

I was holding off getting a Nintendo DS, but this might push me over the edge. Wifi internet AND TV? I can forsee myself getting one of these things.

The DS went from Idle plaything for my inner child to actually useful to my outer adult.
