Seated in the Lotus position the mind becomes open and empty. In a state of readiness yet still relaxed. Observe your surrounding not with closed eyes but half open. Be aware of the distractions but ignore them completely. Only then can you accept the finite and embrace the forever. As a hill may seem small from a distance observe the obstacles and challenges in your life from afar. Contemplate the past and future events with the same view and the way becomes clear.

Only after a category hurricane. Then you see lots of leaves on the ground, but they are not from your trees. If the winds hit category 2 you will see the branches of the tree on the ground. If the winds hit category 3 you see the whole tree on the ground.
At 4 and 5 you loose your roof and no longer really care so much about the trees.
I will meditate on this truth this winter while I am still out on my boat because it is a nice day outside.
